Sustainability is an essential prerequisite for any modern company’s social license to operate. We cover a range of services to ensure that your engagement with sustainability
- makes your company more resilient,
- helps your business be more successful, and
- considers the needs and well-being of all stakeholders.
A particular focus of our work is to ensure that your sustainability strategy meets the requirements of a rapidly growing number of sustainable, responsible and impact (SRI) investors who demand clear ESG metrics and targets from their portfolio companies.
Corporate Sustainability Strategy
Your company will perform at its best and achieve the greatest possible benefits from its engagement with sustainability if your work across the three domains Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) is fully aligned with your corporate strategy. Among other things, this involves being clear on your material issues (please see below), developing meaningful and SMART targets and carefully managing the changes across business model and operations that a serious approach to sustainability invariably entails. We have experience across a wide variety of different industry segments and key sustainability topics to give you the best support possible for developing and refining your sustainability strategy.
(in line with the TCFD Recommendations)
Scenario based analysis is a key element of the final recommendations by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), which are currently being integrated into guidance and regulatory frameworks on non-financial risk analysis and disclosure around the world. In close collaboration with top management we assist you in structuring and conducting scenario analysis – and using the outcome of this analysis as an essential input for the development of real options. Contact us today for a free consultation on how this approach can help your business become more resilient – and at the same time ensure uninterrupted access to the capital markets for your company’s continued success.
We will help you determine your company’s Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol’s (GHG Protocol) Corporate Standard. We also support your submission to CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) and reporting of emissions in line with the framework developed by the Climate Disclosure Standards Board (CDSB).
Materiality Assessment / Review
Determining the ESG issues that are truly material to your business is among the most critical elements of a successful sustainability strategy. Our assessment – or review, as the case may be – of your organisation’s material issues will be based on established industry standards such as AccountAbility’s AA1000 Series of Standards, the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) Standards and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board’s (SASB) Materiality Map. Investor concerns are a key element of our recommendations, but a true understanding of Materiality extends beyond the immediate financial impact of any given sustainability issue.
Gap Analysis and Peer Benchmarking
Whether you are new to sustainability reporting or have been doing it for many years, we will provide you with a clear analysis of your sustainability performance – against your peers, measured by established benchmarks and in the eyes of SRI investors.
We support your engagement of internal and external stakeholders on all your material ESG issues. This can take the form of workshops (physical or online), courses, online surveys or targeted exercises, ad hoc or over an extended period of time.
From supporting any part of the reporting process to preparing your SR in its entirety, we will be pleased to provide you with a proposal tailor-made to your specific requirements.
